Telereal Trillium takes platinum in support of facilities management

09 January 2013

Telereal Trillium has shown its continuing support for the UK’s facilities management (FM) industry by becoming one of the first platinum sponsors of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM).

In a move designed to help to strengthen its role as a leader in the development of the FM profession, BIFM has developed two new supporter packages - ‘Platinum’ and ‘Gold’. These packages recognise those organisations which through sponsorship and engagement enable the work of the Institute, allowing it to offer more events and resources to its members and the wider FM world.

Commenting on the company’s decision, Telereal Trillium’s managing director FM Services, Steve Castle, said: ‘As a business we’ve had a long-standing relationship with BIFM, and many of our employees are members of the organisation. We see the role the Institute plays as being pivotal in the future growth and further professionalising of our industry so when the opportunity came up to support its work, we were delighted to do so. We’re really keen to raise awareness and understanding of our industry, particularly among younger people, and we hope many more businesses join us as platinum or gold sponsors.’

Mark Nicholas, corporate account manager at BIFM, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome our first supporters; it is great to have them on board. We undertook in-depth research in developing these new packages, listening to the needs of prime candidates to ensure we will best recognise and reward key supporters. Through these new packages, BIFM can recognise the significant effect that the commitment of these organisations has in enabling the Institute to provide even more, and so progress the facilities management profession.’
