Telereal Trillium has completed the purchase of the former Shepherd’s Bush Police Station from the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) for £5.5M.
The 0.47-acre, Uxbridge Road site was put up for sale in May 2021 following its closure in late 2020 as part of the Metropolitan Police’s Estate Transformation programme., It is the second former police station that Telereal Trillium has purchased this year following its acquisition of Tooting Police Station in April 2021.
Located on the corner of Tunis Road and Uxbridge Road, Shepherd’s Bush Police Station lies at the centre of one of West London’s most lively and popular areas with excellent links into Central London. The existing 1960s property comprises two buildings with the main offices, custody suite and canteen fronting Uxbridge Road and a second building located in the rear yard, which was used for locker room and storage facilities.
Future plans for the site, including a potential mixed-use redevelopment, have been discussed with the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBHF) prior to Telereal Trillium’s acquisition and involvement. However, Telereal Trillium’s development team will now take time to consider and consult on how best to regenerate this high street location.
Commenting on the acquisition, Duncan Brisbane, Development Director at Telereal Trillium, said:
“This is another important addition to our portfolio which we believe is a fantastic opportunity to regenerate and revive a high street site so that it may continue to make a valuable contribution to life in Shepherd’s Bush.”
