Telereal Trillium has submitted an outline planning application to Swansea Council to redevelop the former BT telephone engineering centre in Cockett, Swansea.
The proposed plans for the 2.14 hectare Heol y Gors site include up to 73 residential dwellings, a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom houses; an element of these will be affordable housing.
A Telereal Trillium spokesperson said: “We are pleased to submit the plans for the redevelopment of this vacant site. We are confident that the proposed mix of houses will appeal to first time buyers as well as existing home owners, creating a desirable, affordable and sustainable place to live for local people and newcomers.”
The site was identified as surplus to operational requirements and will be vacated by BT in 2014. The Motor Transport Workshop to the north of the site will remain in use by BT.
