Russell was appointed Chief Executive in 2018, having previously served as group treasurer, corporate finance director and joint managing director.
Russell joined the business in 2002, having previously worked for Enterprise Oil, a FTSE-100 oil exploration and production company with operations in 15 countries. He spent most of his time there working in treasury, and was involved in over $4bn of financings and $3bn of M&A deals.
Previously Russell was responsible for heading up the financial planning and strategy for Enterprise's UK and Ireland business.
Prior to this, Russell was working in practice, having qualified at Ernst & Young, and then moved to their corporate finance department.
Russell is a member of both the Association of Chartered Treasurers and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
