Telereal Trillium has sold Wheatstone House, Chiswick to L&Q, one of the leading residential developers in London and the South East.
The former BT telephone exchange sits on a 0.8 acre site on Chiswick High Road. Telereal Trillium secured planning permission in March 2015, following a planning appeal and four day public inquiry, for the redevelopment of Wheatstone House. It will be replaced by 95 residential units with a mix of one, two and three-bedroom homes with accompanying parking, as well as 4,995 sq ft of commercial floorspace and associated amenities. A provision of affordable housing will also be available.
Wheatstone House is prominently located, situated on the main thoroughfare between Chiswick and Brentford town centres, in close proximity to Kew Bridge and Chiswick Park. The scheme design, by ColladoCollins Architects, seeks to enhance the visual amenity of the area and create a stronger visual statement on Chiswick High Road.
