21 May 2019

Telereal Trillium and Blackstone Property Partners, with Network Rail (NR) are delighted to have won ‘Deal of the Year’ for the acquisition of Network Rail’s commercial estate business in England and Wales, at this year’s 28th Annual PROPS Awards.

The deal, which saw the launch of The Arch Company in February 2019, will manage a portfolio of c.5,200 properties, making it the UK’s largest small business landlord, serving thousands of business owners who make a unique and vital contribution to the UK economy.

The PROPS Awards is one of the highlights of the property industry’s calendar and this year raised an incredible £410,000 net for Variety, the Children’s Charity.

In the UK there are more than one million disabled children and nearly four million children living in poverty. Variety, the Children’s Charity, exists to improve the lives of those children. Since its inception in 1992, the PROPS Awards have generated over £10 million for the charity and provided 2,100 powered wheelchairs for disabled children across the UK.

Frances Lang, Chief Executive of Variety, the Children’ Charity, said: “I am bowled over by the generosity of the UK property industry at the PROPS Awards Lunch.  £410,000 is an incredible total to have raised.  On behalf of each and every one of the children and young people who will receive a life transforming wheelchair, I thank everyone who gave so generously from the bottom of my heart. This support really does change lives.”

Now in its 28th year, the ceremony was held at the London Hilton on Park Lane and was hosted by former rugby union international and broadcaster Martin Bayfield.
