This week is National Apprenticeship Week, a week designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the economy.
In 2012, Telereal Trillium began a pilot apprenticeship scheme within our customer service centre (CSC). With the support of vocational training specialists, Hawk Management, a training and work programme was developed and two successful applicants started on a 12-month placement. Running alongside their apprenticeship qualification, the scheme sees our apprentices work within the CSC to complete contract-specific training and work towards becoming multi-skilled customer service representatives.
The theme of National Apprenticeship Week – apprenticeships deliver – focuses on how apprenticeships can deliver for both employers and individuals. Neil Parry, Head of CSC, said “Apprenticeships are a win-win recruitment option. Our apprentices have an opportunity to achieve real qualifications whilst gaining valuable workplace experience and as a business we are developing enthusiastic and loyal employees whose skills reflect our business and client needs”.
Telereal Trillium also supports Mitie’s Real Apprentice scheme, which gives valuable work experience to the long-term unemployed. We are currently hosting our fourth Real Apprentice on an eight-week placement at our London headquarters.
