Telereal Trillium agrees sale of former Job Centre in Dagenham to Hollybrook

14 February 2019

London, 14 February 2019 - Telereal Trillium announces that it has completed the sale of a former DWP Job Centre at Chequers Lane, Dagenham to Hollybrook Limited. Telereal Trillium, working collaboratively with Barking & Dagenham Council regeneration company Be First, secured planning permission for a 7-storey redevelopment delivering 70 new homes in September 2018.

Hollybrook will bring forward plans to transform the existing two-storey building. Designed by ColladoCollins Architects, the consented scheme consists of a mix of studio, 1 and 2-bed apartments. The planning consent also includes 14 parking spaces and a provision of 1,886 sq. ft. for commercial use at ground floor.

The site forms part of the South Dagenham West Regeneration Area and is located within 500m from Dagenham Dock DLR providing services to the City of London in 30 minutes. Dagenham Heathway tube station is just a 12-minute walk.

Steve Akeju, Senior Development Manager at Telereal Trillium said:

“We are pleased to reach an agreement with Hollybrook on this key development in Dagenham. We have worked closely with local planning authorities and Be First to support the regeneration plans in place by the Council for the surrounding areas and provide opportunities for owner occupiers and first time buyers in London’s more affordable areas.”

Kevin Parsons, Development Director at Hollybrook, said: “We are delighted to conclude this deal with Telereal Trillium and look forward to doing more business with them in the future. We intend to build out this scheme at the earliest possible opportunity”.
