Consent granted for Bromley High Street housing and office development

Consent granted for Bromley High Street housing and office development

22 October 2013

Telereal Trillium has secured planning consent for a residential led, mixed-use scheme to redevelop the former Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) offices on Bromley High Street.

The prominent gateway site, diagonally opposite Bromley South station on Westmoreland Road, has consent for demolition of the existing building and erection of an 11-storey building comprising 71 residential units, including affordable housing, 1,500 square meters of office space as well as car parking and associated landscaping.

A Telereal Trillium spokesperson said: “Having remained vacant for five years we are pleased to be able to progress plans at the site to help regenerate the local area. The new development will replace the old, tired government building with high quality offices and much needed accommodation.”

Agents for the scheme, Edward Symmons, report good interest and marketing of the site will commence shortly.
