BT has submitted a detailed planning application to Lambeth Council for the redevelopment of Keybridge House on South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall, London.
The redevelopment plans include up to 415 new houses and apartments and land for a new two-form entry primary school gifted to Lambeth Council. Keybridge House sits in the Vauxhall Nice Elms Battersea area and the plans will play an important role in the regeneration of the area.
In preparation for the submission of the application, BT and its property partner Telereal Trillium presented the plans at a public consultation in the spring. The feedback from the consultation was extremely positive, with 73 per cent of respondents saying that the master plan was either ‘very good’ or ‘good’, and a similar number supporting the provision of part of the site for a new primary school.
Keybridge House is owned by BT and the planning application process and eventual disposal is being managed by Telereal Trillium.
If the planning application is successful, BT will look to sell the site to a property developer to implement the planning permission.
Allies and Morrison is the architect and GL Hearn is the planning and communications consultant for the redevelopment.
