Following a master-planning exercise, a resolution to grant planning permission was obtained for a mixed use development. The existing 300,000 sq ft of offices were demolished prior to pre-letting the retail element of the scheme and residential land sales commencing.

Outline planning consent obtained for 120 units after the adjoining land was purchased to improve the efficiency of the development. The development taken forward in joint venture has been with Bellway Homes.

Castle Chambers, York is a conversion of office to 25 high quality residential units and three ground floor retail units. Permitted development rights for change of use were granted and detailed planning consent for alterations to the externals has been secured. The scheme reached practical completion on 10 June 2016. Telereal Trillium are holding the development to let for AST’s and Serviced Apartments with local practice Ashtons acting as the letting and managing agents.

This property was converted from a church to office in the 1980s. Permitted development rights (office to residential) were secured in 2014 for conversion to 16 residential units and practical completion took place in July 2016. Freemantle Developments are acting in partnership as Development Manager.
